Job Overview
To support the Adult Safeguarding Team by providing a comprehensive administration and secretarial service.
Main Duties of the Job
* Act as the first point of contact for the adult safeguarding team by telephone, for professionals and members of the public.
* Take overall responsibility for providing a comprehensive, efficient, and confidential secretarial and administrative coordination to the adult safeguarding team, using own initiative to problem-solve and prioritize work urgency, acting on behalf of the team when appropriate and required.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
* Good standard of education: GCSEs or equivalent, RSA3 Typing/Word Processing or other recognized qualification, or equivalent experience.
Desirable Criteria
* ECDL, NVQ4 in admin, or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years’ secretarial and/or administrative experience.
* Proficiency in computer skills and willingness to learn new software packages.
* Experience with Excel database software.
* Ability to manage competing and varied demands.
Desirable Experience
* Experience working within NHS or familiarity with medical terminology.
* Understanding of Adult Safeguarding.
