Role Purpose
To work collaboratively within the team to assist in the delivery of the department objective of managing the product review and approval process together with ensuring that all products manufactured by the firm are functioning as the business and investors would expect, that they are designed to satisfy the needs of the identified target market and that they continue to function correctly and meet regulatory requirements at all stages throughout the product life cycle.
The role will require a close working relationship with all members of the team assisting in the delivery of the department objectives. It requires organisation and attention to detail.
The role will give the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the MIFID and PROD product management and governance requirements together with an in depth understanding of the investment funds and portfolio management business.
This is a client/investor centric role with wide stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
To support the departments to fulfil their Product Governance responsibilities.
Assisting in the maintenance and development of robust processes and procedures focusing on continued improvement and efficiency.
Take a lead in the departments administration duties including organising Product Governance Committees, taking minutes, capturing actions and maintaining action logs.
Co-ordinate activities with external suppliers or co-manufacturers as and when required in relation to completing the Assessment of Value.
Production and maintenance of key product documents including conducting annual reviews.
Represent the Product Governance and Management team at internal meetings as and when required.
Secondary Responsibilities
Develop industry knowledge and product awareness to work towards becoming a product expert and champion high standards of product governance.
Research for projects as and when required.
