You will be working with a private client who receives direct payments.
A little about myself: I am a middle-aged lady, living in the Waunarlwydd area of Swansea. I have multiple sclerosis, which means that I struggle with various everyday activities. Despite my disability, I try to lead as full a life as possible, I enjoy going out and love socialising. I feel it’s important to find someone with shared values, common interests and someone I get on with, rather than someone more experienced in this line of work. Although I will be your employer and will make the decisions, we will be working together as a team, as I believe we will achieve more working together. If you are the right person to support me, I hope you will get a lot out of the work experience as I do.
A PA could make a huge difference in my life, by not only supporting me with everyday domestic task, but also to provide support so I can attend community and social activities of my choice. I am looking for a PA to cover the weekend hours and, on a Tuesday, and Thursday. Driver required to drive my mobility car. Female preferred. Hours of work: 2 hours on a Tuesday and Thursday evening. 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. (4pm to 8pm) Rate of pay: £13.13

Responsibilities
* Assist with daily activities; support with community and social activities of choice.
* Daily exercise, movement of limbs as required.
* Serving and cutting of food and drink as required.
* Light housework.
* Assistance in and out of car.
* Preparation of car prior to use.
* Going food shopping.
* Prepare and give me my food.
* Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
* Be confident, mature and have patience.
* Be dependable and arrive on time.
* Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
* Be adaptable and flexible.
* Be supportive but not take over.
* Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Other information
Concerning the position a trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period.
Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment.
Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
