This is an exciting opportunity to join their UK commercial team, managing and developing academic accounts across the Cambridge and East Anglia region.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of a well-established academic territory, working closely with a Senior Account Manager to drive growth and build lasting relationships within leading research institutions.
* Managing and developing relationships with existing academic customers
* Identifying and engaging new labs and research groups within the territory
* Delivering a consultative, solutions-led approach to customers
* Organising and attending on-site events, seminars, and conferences
* Collaborating with internal sales and marketing teams
* Maintaining accurate customer and pipeline data via CRM systems
What They Are Looking For
They are looking for someone with a strong scientific foundation and the motivation to succeed in a commercial environment.
You’ll likely have:
* A postgraduate qualification or hands-on laboratory experience in molecular biology
* Experience with techniques such as PCR/qPCR, cloning, NGS, protein expression, or related areas
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with scientists
* A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a desire to develop a career in sales
* The ability to work independently in a field-based role
This role is particularly well-suited to someone currently in the lab who is looking to apply their technical expertise in a more customer-facing, commercial position.
