Job Description:
As Sales Manager (MICE), you will be responsible for driving group revenue across a designated territory. Your role will focus on sourcing and converting new business, nurturing existing client relationships, and representing the property at key trade and industry events. This is a proactive role that requires a confident communicator, natural networker, and proven closer who thrives in a high-performance environment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Proactively source, pitch, and secure new MICE business opportunities
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts
* Represent the property at UK and international trade shows, sales missions, and client events
* Collaborate with global sales teams, tourism boards, and third-party partners to generate leads
* Develop and execute sales strategies that increase market share, visibility, and revenue
* Maintain accurate client records and activity reports via CRM systems
* Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
* Contribute to forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting processes
* Deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs
* Stay current with market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 3-5 years of proactive B2B sales experience, ideally within MICE, luxury travel, or hospitality sectors
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
* Experience managing UK and/or international MICE markets
* Confident in face-to-face meetings, networking events, and trade shows
* Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Opera Sales & Catering)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
* Understanding of pipeline management, sales reporting, and market segmentation
* A self-starter with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Ability to travel and represent a world-class destination with professionalism and enthusiasm
