Senior HR Adviser – Manchester city centre
HR – Leading law firm – Manchester city centre – A new and exciting role has arisen at this leading national law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for any experienced HR Adviser as you will be reporting straight to the HR Director of a firm of around 700 people spread over 3 offices. Working with the wider HR team as well as key stakeholders, you will be an integral part of this leading law firm as it continues to grow a-pace.
Overview
* Location: Manchester
* Reports to: HR Director
* Previous experience: Professional qualification eg Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Level 5 qualification or equivalent plus roughly 2+ years of experience in HR.
Senior HR Adviser – a snapshot of the opportunity
As an experienced HR professional, you will be involved in all aspects of the employment life cycle. This will include everything from probation, performance and appraisal to other aspects of employee relation including grievances and disputes. Whether you are advising on sickness absence or health and wellbeing or family or dependant related leave, you will provide valuable guidance to the business.
You will also have the opportunity to be involved in recruitment and talent development at all levels from trainee solicitors right through to Partners of the firm.

We are looking for candidates who understand the technical aspects of being an HR professional as well as possessing the crucial emotional intelligence and ability to positively persuade and influence. Being a successful HR adviser is as much about understanding the business, developing relationships and adopting a practical approach as it is about applying policy.
We are keen to speak with candidates with strong employee relation skills and practical application of employment law. The impressive scope of this role will allow the successful candidate to develop their skills further and take their career forward.
