Futures Recruitment are looking to appoint a Production Supervisor for a leading manufacturing business. The successful Production Supervisor will lead and optimise the daily operations of the production team. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a small team of operatives and team leaders while coordinating cross-functional efforts to meet production goals and support lean initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all products meet quality standards through inspections, audits, and corrective actions as needed.
Develop and implement a leadership and development programme with the Production Manager and HR to enhance team and individual performance.
Lead, train, and mentor team members to promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Establish and maintain succession plans to ensure long-term business sustainability.
Allocate work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely task completion and adherence to production deadlines.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement lean-based strategies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Promote and enforce a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate production records, including quality control logs, attendance, and operational reports.
Report regularly on production performance, quality metrics, risks, and improvement plans to senior management.
Ensure smooth cross-departmental coordination to meet overall production targets.
Skills and Qualification
Understanding of lean principles and a proven track record of driving improvements.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
