Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with DVSA standards.
Inspect and assess vehicle components,including brakes, lights, steering and suspension systems.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and any work carried out.
Communicate findings of vehicle to the Workshop Manager clearly and professionally.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the garage environment.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks as required during vehicle inspections or repairs.
Requirements:
Valid MOT Tester certification is essential
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or maintenance.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
