Job Description:
Director of Sales vacancy, branded hotel with 120+ bedrooms, M&E space for 300, leisure & busy F&B along with coffee shop. Established hotel with strong reputation and high revenue generating hotel within the portfolio.
Main purpose of job role:
You are responsible for the achievement of activity and revenue targets for the property with specific focus on Bedrooms and Groups together with Meetings and Events revenue streams. You will ensure effective management of the sales function, driving performance of the sales team along with the Sales Office Manager to deliver individual and overall targets, ensuring alignment and achievement of the hotel budget.
Planning and Strategy:
1. Develop, implement and drive the Hotel’s Sales Strategy through proactively positioning and effectively marketing the hotels to drive revenue through targeted sales activity and campaigns to achieve revenue budgets
2. Create and deliver a Sales Plan with targeted activity to support the business needs of your hotel including Occupancy and Average Room Rate
3. Work closely with the RDOS, General Manager, Central Revenue Managers and M&E Sales Team to agree rate strategy by segment and to ensure this is adhered to within the sales process
4. Drive a robust referral process between your hotels, ensuring all business opportunities are maximised and all leads progressed
5. Manage the sales budget and measure the success of initiatives/ promotions showing ROI for sales and marketing activities
6. Deliver a creative engagement plan for both new and existing accounts including familiarisation events, site visits, entertainment and presentations
7. Liaise with and support hotel HOD’s to establish and sustain a proactive sales culture throughout the hotel
