Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join our Mental Health Enablement Team at the London Borough of Enfield.
This is an exciting opportunity to support adults with severe and enduring mental health needs to live independently within the community, while helping to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and support timely discharge.
Responsibilities

* Work closely with Community Mental Health Teams, hospital services, housing providers and voluntary organisations to deliver person‑centred support.
* Provide professional leadership within the team.
* Act as a Practice Educator.
* Undertake Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) work where qualified.
* Deputise for the Service Manager when required, including attending Mental Health Resource Panels and representing the service at key meetings.
* Work on site from 9am – 5pm.
Qualifications
We encourage applicants who are experienced professionals in mental health social work, with a record of managing complex caseloads, and who have demonstrated leadership and practice education skills. Relevant training such as Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), Practice Educator and DoLS Assessor qualifications or willingness to undertake training is desirable.
Benefits
* An excellent pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
* Up to 32 days annual leave depending on grade and length of service, plus eight public holidays and an extra day off at Christmas.
* A blend of remote and office based working for most roles.
* Interest‑free season ticket loan repayable over three or ten months.
* Career development and learning experiences from a range of training courses and learning methods.
