Join Our Team as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber!
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use? We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber to join our Wiltshire service for a 12-month maternity cover. At our integrated community drug and alcohol service, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving the wellbeing of people across Wiltshire.
In this role, you’ll work under the guidance of our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including Recovery Workers and Volunteers. Your contributions will empower individuals to change their lives for the better, and you’ll receive the support you need to thrive in this rewarding environment.
Your Responsibilities
As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will:
* Conduct opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions and manage benzodiazepine reductions.
* Administer detoxification medications for alcohol and opiates, including pabrinex.
* Perform health care assessments and complete detoxification assessments.
* Provide Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations.
* Collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
* Participate in local prescribers meetings and one-on-one clinical supervision.
* Contribute to shaping service delivery and ensuring clinically excellent services.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or be a qualified Pharmacist with independent prescriber status.
* Have confidence in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications.
* Be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and capable of developing creative, flexible support packages tailored to individual needs.
* Possess a deep level of empathy, understanding, and patience for those you serve.

Interviews will be held on Thursday, 2nd October at our Trowbridge office located at Rothermere House, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JQ (please note there is no on-site parking).
