About the Role
At Unity Beach, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all our guests, owners, and team members. As our Security Manager, you will take the lead in managing the park's security operations, ensuring high standards of safety, professionalism, and service at all times.
This is more than just a management role – it's about building a strong, respectful, and motivated team who work together to protect and support our community.
You'll set the tone for how security operates across the park: firm but fair, professional but approachable, always acting with integrity and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities
Security Leadership
* Lead, support, and inspire the security team, role-modelling our values: Growth, Passion, and Togetherness.
* Promote a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and professionalism.
* Handle guest, owner, and colleague concerns with empathy, discretion, and fairness.
* Encourage open communication and act on feedback to improve our service.
Operational Excellence
* Oversee the department's day-to-day operations, including rota management, task allocation, payroll queries, and team appraisals.
* Ensure all team members complete their induction and ongoing training to a high standard.
* Maintain and monitor security systems, equipment, and procedures, ensuring they are effective and fit for purpose.
* Work closely with other managers to ensure smooth operations and consistent standards across the park.
* Manage budgets responsibly, balancing cost-effectiveness with safety and quality.
Compliance & Standards
* Ensure full compliance with company and legal Health & Safety requirements.
* Uphold all SIA licensing conditions, GDPR regulations, and other relevant standards.
* Regularly review and improve procedures to keep the department effective, compliant, and guest-focused.
Team Development
* Mentor, coach, and support your team, helping them achieve their best both professionally and personally.
* Encourage development opportunities, from apprenticeships to leadership progression.
* Recognise and celebrate team achievements, ensuring everyone feels valued.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in a security management or senior supervisory role.
* A current and valid SIA licence.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional manner.
* Confidence with IT systems used in security operations.
* A clean driving licence and flexibility to work varied hours (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays).
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach – able to remain composed and effective under pressure.
* Above all, a sense of professionalism, fairness, and integrity – leading by example and setting the right standard.
