We’re seeking reliable and motivated Food Production Operative to join our growing team. Job Title: Food Production Operative
Location: Sterte Avenue, Poole, Dorset BH15 2AS
Working Hours: 3 on 3 off, 06:00am – 18:00pm or 08:00am – 20:00pm (Average of 38.5 hours per week)
Pay: £12.52 per hour
Reporting To: Line Leader / Group Leader
What You’ll Be Doing
* Adhere to health and safety practices and procedures to ensure own and others safe working by escalating any Health & Safety issues to the Group Leader/ H&S Manager as necessary.
* Carry out process or packing tasks associated with the designated manufacturing area, to meet manufacturing targets in line with operating and quality procedures.
* Check products and materials against the quality standards and take corrective action and/or communicate to the appropriate person, to ensure quality, food safety standards legality, authenticity, and brand integrity are maintained.
* Clean and tidy own work area, and other areas as appropriate to maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the factory.
* Communicate and co-operate with other members of the team in order to achieve the teams daily output.
* Communicate and co-operate with other teams in order to achieve the smooth running of the operation and the achievement of departmental and company goals.
* Request and receive appropriate training to be able to carry out the necessary tasks within the team competently and correctly.
* Coach and assist other team members if they need assistance to increase their knowledge or confidence.
* Report faults with equipment/machinery so they can be put right quickly, to keep downtime to a minimum.
* Work as instructed and trained in line with the SOP (Standard Operating Practices).
* DO NOT carry out any task unless you are trained to do so.
What We’re Looking For

* Basic process and product knowledge linked to job role.
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice linked to job role.
* Knowledge of operating procedures
* Basic understanding of company goals and structure
* Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
* Manual Handling techniques and safety knowledge
