Overview

The Cloud Engineering and DevOps Lead is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s cloud platform and driving modern DevOps and SRE practices. The role focuses on building a high‑performing engineering team, improving platform reliability, and enabling continuous improvement and innovation. You will guide the evolution of cloud tooling, automation, and the Developer Platform while partnering with product and technology teams to embed strong cloud and DevOps best practices across the organisation. This role blends hands‑on technical expertise with leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking.


Your Role

* Lead and develop a cross‑functional engineering team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Build SRE capabilities and cultivate an SRE mindset across the wider organisation.
* Drive adoption of DevOps best practices and support Developer Platform enhancements to improve Developer Experience.
* Provide thought leadership on AI‑driven automation and engineering tool strategy.
* Partner with Product Teams to establish strong DevOps and Cloud practices.
* Infrastructure as Code.
* Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery.
* Budget and cost centre management.
* Strong leadership, coaching, and people management.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
* Ability to prioritise complex work in dynamic environments.
* Risk management, facilitation, problem solving, and cross‑team collaboration.
* 8+ years’ experience in DevOps and Azure/Cloud.
