We are looking for an organised, proactive Audio Typist/Transcriber to support our head office and residential leadership teams. You will produce accurate, confidential transcripts and documents, support recruitment with interview notes and help keep onboarding paperwork and checks on track. This is a detail-focused role where confidentiality, accuracy and meeting deadlines are essential. About Amegreen Children’s Services Amegreen Children’s Services was founded in 2013 with a mission to provide safe, supportive and nurturing environments for vulnerable children and young people. Based in rural Berkshire, our homes support children aged 5 to 18 and are rated Good and Outstanding by Ofsted. Key responsibilities Audio typing and transcribing confidential notes and documents for Home Managers and the management team Producing clear, accurate written records from audio files and meetings Formatting documents correctly and filing them in line with GDPR and internal processes Scribing during interviews to support the recruitment team Supporting the onboarding process for new staff, ensuring documentation, checks and training are completed in line with safeguarding requirements Scheduling meetings and supervisions and taking minutes where required Maintaining accurate records and supporting day-to-day administration tasks Liaising with colleagues to ensure paperwork is completed, tracked and stored correctly Must-haves Strong audio typing and touch-typing skills Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy Confidence handling confidential and sensitive information Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Able to work independently and communicate clearly with different teams Calm under pressure, with a flexible and proactive approach Preferred (but not essential) Previous experience in audio typing, transcription or minute taking Strong Microsoft Word skills (formatting, templates, track changes) Experience managing documents and records in a structured filing system Familiarity with GDPR and handling sensitive information appropriately Experience supporting senior teams in a regulated setting (care, education, health or similar) What success looks like Transcripts and notes are accurate, well formatted and delivered on time Onboarding paperwork and checks are completed promptly, with clear records Documents and records are easy to find, up to date and stored correctly Salary and benefits Pension scheme: auto-enrolment after 3 months (not linked to probation), tax relief applies Private use of our company holiday home on the south coast (when not in use for our children) Health Cash Plan (claim back on healthcare and wellbeing appointments) Sick pay (after probationary period)* Company pension Blue Light Card eligibility Discount on driving lessons from our recommended instructors Long service award and employee of the month discretionary reward Death in service benefit of 4x salary Recommend a friend scheme (up to £500) Hours and location This is a full-time, permanent role based in Mortimer, Berkshire (RG7).
