Start date: July 2025 onwards
Who We Are, The Role & Why Anthesis:
Who We Are:
The business intelligence team at Anthesis Group provides leading global intelligence and compliance risk services, and specialises in enhanced due diligence investigations. Our team’s regional and sectoral expertise help the world’s foremost organisations make informed, ethical decisions about the professionals and businesses they work with, the assets they acquire, and where and how they operate.
Anthesis Group is a global sustainability and ESG company. We provide a wide suite of sustainability solutions to clients across the world. Anthesis is a certified B-Corp – reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and employee-friendly policies – and the company has an employee shareholder scheme, allowing Anthesis employees to share in the company’s success.
The Role:
Analysts begin their career within the team specialising in open source due diligence work. These reports provide an overview of major compliance red flags associated with a target company or individual, such as corruption, political exposure, and sanctions. Typically, analysts will work on reports from multiple jurisdictions, before progressing on to region-specific reports based on language and regional expertise: our aim is to train confident due diligence researchers able to navigate complicated, cross-border issues. Analysts might spend their morning researching a high-profile legal dispute in the US, before turning their attention to unravelling an obscure offshore corporate structure in the afternoon.
Once fully trained, analysts will expand the scope of their work – taking on more complicated projects in conjunction with senior staff; developing regional expertise in regulatory and compliance risks; training new members of staff; and taking on business development responsibilities. For exceptional candidates, our analyst role lays the foundations for career progression at Anthesis.
Why Apply to Anthesis:
* Training: We pride ourselves on producing market-leading work. To maintain these high standards, we provide comprehensive one-to-one training. New analysts work closely with an experienced researcher over the first 4-6 months of their career to bring them up to speed and equip them with all the skills necessary to become an expert in due diligence and compliance. From then on, all senior staff actively work with new joiners to ensure that they hit the ground running, and continue to mentor analysts over the course of their career at Anthesis.
* Career development: Having mastered our core entry level product, analysts are exposed to a range of career paths. As a fast-expanding company, we ensure that employees are given all the tools to develop professionally – whether it’s in-depth research, business development, client exposure or management. We build our company from the ground up, and many of our most senior staff started with us as analysts.
* Company culture: Anthesis is a dynamic company with a friendly, young and energetic team that support each other on work. All members of our team work together to create an environment in which our staff are able to reach their potential. We offer competitive pay, clear career progression, and visa sponsorship to those that need it.
Key Requirements, Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
We require as a minimum these skills, qualifications and experience:
* A professional work ethic. We are particularly interested in candidates with a demonstrable self-starter attitude, who take pride in their work and responsibility for driving their own learning and development.
* A basic understanding of and interest in due diligence and compliance risks – experience in a commercial research context is highly desirable;
* Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context;
* Excellent research and writing skills: attention to detail, and an ability to identify and summarise information from various sources under time pressure;
* Time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines;
* Fluency in at least one foreign language. As outlined above, we are particularly interested in candidates with languages such as Arabic, German, Russian, Mandarin, Turkish, Spanish and Portuguese.
* A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university; and
* Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
Candidates should also have demonstrable skills in the following areas:
* An interest in international affairs and business;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
* Respond well to feedback.
* Work within a highly motivated team in an innovative and rapidly growing global company
* Opportunity to have a direct impact and be a key part of the growth and development of the business and the team
* Exposure to a wide range of clients and projects on a global basis
* Competitive salary in line with experience and skills
* Competitive benefits including flexible working
* An opportunity to participate in the Anthesis Employee Participation Plan (EPP), an industry-pioneering employee incentive plan that allows all employees to be rewarded for the growth in the equity value of Anthesis
* Cooperative, supportive and open working atmosphere
