Pixieland Day Nurseries is offering an Apprenticeship for a Level 3 Early Years Educator at our Saltash Nursery. Programme duration is 17 Months + 2 months to complete End Point Assessment. Programme name: Level 3 - Early Years Educator. Pixieland Day Nurseries is based in Plymouth and Saltash, Cornwall, with over 40 years of experience and a commitment to creating a secure, positive learning environment for children.

Job description
A fantastic opportunity has become available at Pixieland Nurseries. We are looking for an Apprentice Early Years Educator Level 3 at our Saltash Nursery, to fit well within the friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development. This role will be supported by your team as well as an early years course to ensure you reach your qualification confidently and professionally. We are looking for a professional attitude, but with a sense of fun and excitement as this allows our children to thrive within our nursery family environment.

To become an apprentice, you must
* be 16 or over
* not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll
* complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard
* have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
* learn and train for a specific job
* get paid and receive holiday leave
* get hands-on experience in a real job
* study for at least 20% of your working hours
* complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
* be on a career path with lots of future potential
* be entitled to a TOTUM membership

An apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. You’re an employee with a contract of employment and holiday leave. By the end of an apprenticeship, you will have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career.
Levels of an apprenticeship
Each apprenticeship has a level and an equivalent education level. You can start an apprenticeship at any level. At the end, you’ll achieve the equivalent education level. For example, completing a level 3 apprenticeship equates to the equivalent of an A level.

End point assessment and delivery
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship. Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the apprentice’s chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English. Once you have completed a minimum of 15 months training and the employer and Inspiro Regional trainer confirm you have met all the requirements of the standard you will be put through to the End Point Assessment. The End Point Assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of apprentices to ensure you are fully competent in your role. You will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help you to meet the requirements of the new standards and will continue to support your development.
