Purpose of the Role The Account Manager acts as a central liaison between clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring the on-time, high-quality delivery of print and direct mail services. The role is equal parts project management, client relationship management, and print production expertise. Key Responsibilities Client & Relationship Management Own and grow relationships with client stakeholders at all levels. Deliver exceptional service that exceeds SLA/KPI expectations. Host and prepare for quarterly client meetings, status updates, and audits. Project Management Take and refine briefs from clients, defining specs, deadlines, and budgets. Provide technical advice on print and direct mail processes. Monitor projects from start to finish – cost negotiation, supplier coordination, delivery assurance. Identify potential risks/issues and resolve or escalate effectively. Reporting & Administration Manage financial tracking: forecasts, budget input, month-end invoicing. Maintain accurate records via internal platforms. Generate weekly stock reports and make proactive stock management recommendations. Internal Collaboration Collaborate with senior leaders to identify growth or cross-sell opportunities. Work with internal production and service teams to align broader service offerings with client needs. Essential Skills & Experience Strong print & direct mail knowledge : techniques, processes, and commercial implications (especially VAT). Project/account management in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment. Proven experience managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and communication skills – client-facing confidence is key. Analytical and detail-oriented; able to troubleshoot production issues and suggest improvements. Technically proficient with Microsoft Office and business systems. Ideally has experience in financial services or a heavily regulated industry. Soft Skills Calm and professional under pressure.
