Yellow Door Belfast is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in professional kitchens who wants to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
About the Role & Location:
This role is based at Yellow Door, The Innovation Centre, Queens Road, Belfast, BT3 9DT.
You'll be part of a premium workplace catering operation and internal events service, providing fresh, creative, and high-quality food for employees and visitors. On average, you'll be helping to feed between 100–200 people each day.
What You'll Do:
* Support senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes.
* Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and allergen awareness.
* Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and organisation of kitchen areas.
* Learn and develop new skills across different sections of the kitchen.
* Ensure consistency, presentation, and attention to detail in every dish.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role (essential).
* Passion for food, with a willingness to learn and grow.
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
Working Hours:
This is a very desirable role, working mainly Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, please note starting and finishing times may vary due to the needs of the business.
However, you may occasionally be required to work at outside events, which could take place during evenings, weekends, and/or over holiday periods.
