Are you a driven, passionate individual looking for a new challenge? Then look no further! The pharmacy department is delighted to offer vacancies for a Bank Pharmacy Porter/Assistant, where no two days will be the same.
Why? There are a range of duties and responsibilities that you will receive training in. You could be providing an urgent top-up of medicine stock to hospital wards one day and then dealing with external customers the next, processing their orders.
In this role, you will need to be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a desire to contribute to developing our services. Previous pharmacy or stores experience is an advantage, but full training and support will be provided.
Our core working hours are Monday to Friday (8am to 7pm), with weekends and bank holidays managed on a rota basis (9am to 6pm). All shifts are 7.5 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Part-time applicants should be aware that this role requires committing to the same days each week, Monday to Friday, for a full 7.5-hour shift.
Note that large parts of this role involve working in our pharmacy stores warehouse, which includes significant manual handling of bulk products, using both hand and electric pallet trucks, and delivering supplies to wards and departments across the hospital.
On a day-to-day basis, your main duties will include providing an effective medicine supply service to wards/departments across the Trust and external customers such as Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Trust, Ambulance stations, Private hospitals, and other NHS hospitals. You will process, pick, pack, and deliver pharmacy orders and respond to robot issues. Your days will never be boring!
