A 17.5 hour vacancy has become available within the trust's Main Switchboard department. This position is required to help cover our 24 hour rota including night shifts, bank holidays and weekends. An essential part of this position is the ability to be flexible in order to cover your colleague's absence when needed.
Responsibilities
* Action all emergency calls received
* Program pagers as and when requested
* Create rotas for departments within the Trust both online and as hard copies
* Update online databases accurately
* Complete online forms
* Handle all Trust Estate alarms
* Contact emergency services when required
* Answer calls on the Switchboard (4‑800+ calls during a busy shift)
* Support daily duties of a Telephonist and maintain high call handling standards
Qualifications
* Confident personality with the ability to multi‑task
* Remain calm and efficient when handling emergencies
* Have a flexible approach to work
* Have an out‑of‑the‑box attitude
* Computer literate (Office 365 essential)
* Natural enthusiasm to help people
* Positive attitude and confidence to work alone
* Able to work at short notice to cover unplanned absence
* Able to cover our 24/7 rota without issue
