Based in the Cookstown / Magherafelt area, my client is a leading heavy machinery company who manufacture niche products for the world market. They are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager / Lead Design Engineer to be responsible for leading the engineering product development of the companys product range as well as overseeing the activities of their small design team. They will be responsible for the team's development and support as well as the continuous development of design and application standards in line with client expectations. On offer is a salary of £60,000 - £75,000, 15% bonus, pension and an early finish every Friday. Role Engineering Manager / Lead Design Engineer Design Engineering: Manage design review and improvement projects on production product. Manufacturing: Understand the complete manufacturing processes and provide engineering support to all functions as required. New Product Development: Work closely with Director on New Product Development to expand company portfolio. Project Management: Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the career development of a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment Person - Engineering Manager / Lead Design Engineer Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in similar industry Previous experience in coaching or supervising a small design team Previous experience in a range of Engineering functions including Design, Manufacturing, BOM and Technical Publications.
