We are seeking a passionate, individual keen to make a difference to join our dedicated Workforce Development team, as a learning & development coordinator who we refer to as a ‘Quality Matters Advisor’. If you have a passion for learning, experience of the care industry, specifically care homes and are keen to impart your knowledge, passion, and experience to positively impact the education of our staff, then we are keen to interview you.

Key Purpose of Job

As a Quality Matters Advisor, you will provide face to face support and training in a variety of aspects of care delivery and topics to care home staff within their workplaces.

You will be allocated a number of care homes to support but will have the backing of a ‘hands on’ line Manager and a supportive team of coworkers.

Key Task / Responsibilities

* Delivering training and learning sessions on an individual or group basis within Prime Life care homes
* Undertaking observations of practice of care home staff.
* Support with the development of the curriculum, delivery resources and innovative teaching methods.
* Work with Care Home Managers to ensure staff are keeping up to date with learning and are embedding their new skills, knowledge and behaviours in the workplace.

Requirements

* Must have a minimum of 3 years industry experience and a passion for teaching and learning
* Full UK driving licence and use of own car
* Travel is essential
* Ability to work on your own initiative with good organisational skills
* Highly motivated, excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to work to achieve excellent results
* Belief in treating people with dignity and respect
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training is desired, but if not, full training will be provided.

Skills/qualifications:

* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to relate to care home staff and understand their roles
* The ability to encourage and motivate people to learn
* Organisational skills and the ability to plan and manage your time
* Presentation skills
* The ability to write reports and keep accurate records
* Computer skills.
* Knowledge in the core subjects.

Hours

37.5 per week (week days with some flexibility over hours required)
