Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £31,519 - £32,504 per annum

A Different Approach to Care
Are you a natural leader who believes in fostering independence rather than just "doing for" others?
Our Older People Services division is seeking a Senior Social Care Worker to join our unique residential service in Stonehaven. This isn't a traditional care home layout; we support 20 residents who each live in their own purpose-built, self-contained flat.
Operating on a reablement-focused model, we empower our residents to maintain their independence in a 24-hour supported environment. Because we prioritize the right "cultural fit," we invite all prospective staff to visit the service and meet the team before shifts are formally offered.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior member of the team, you will balance direct care with essential supervisory duties:
Leadership: Supporting staff with rota planning, task allocation, and providing management cover.
Clinical Oversight: Overseeing care planning, medication management, and maintaining rigorous quality standards.
Development: Supervising and appraising staff, while supporting their ongoing training and professional growth.
Wellbeing: Promoting a respectful, person-centered environment for residents, including those requiring mental health support and mobility assistance (hoisting).
Safety: Ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents and staff.
Requirements
Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Social Care is essential.
Compliance: SSSC Registration (or eligibility to register) and current PVG Scheme membership.
Technical Skills: Strong IT literacy for care planning and administrative tasks.
Ambition: A commitment to professional growth. You must be willing to work toward:
SVQ Level 4
PDA Supervision & PDA Medication
Workplace Assessor Award
Is this the right fit for you?
Feedback from our current team suggests this service can be slower-paced compared to acute or high-turnover settings. This allows for deeper relationship-building and a focus on quality over speed. We are looking for calm, organized, and patient personalities who thrive in a methodical, person-centered environment.
