Pay: The rate of pay for this position ranges from $21.36 for a trainee to $31.73 per hour for a certified Class 3 operator, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
* Operate, maintain, and repair water treatment plant equipment
* Conduct daily water sampling, testing, and analysis
* Administer chemical treatments and perform routine system maintenance
* Maintain accurate daily logs, records, and operational reports
* Install and service water meters throughout the city
* Support water conservation by helping reduce water loss through the metering system
* Respond to system alarms and after-hours emergencies
* Work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a small, collaborative team
* Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours requirements as needed
Qualifications:
* Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license
* Grade 12 or equivalent education
* Practical working knowledge of computer systems and operations
* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain systems
* Certification in Water Treatment and Water Distribution is preferred
* Candidates who do not hold certification but are willing and able to train are invited to apply; training costs are covered by City of Morden
* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
