The RoleAs our IT Technical Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee the reliable operation and strategic development of our IT systems and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning Develop and implement a forward-looking IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals. Identify opportunities for technological enhancements to streamline processes and boost performance. Technical Management Maintain and support core infrastructure components including:Windows Servers, Active Directory, Entra ID Network systems (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls) Messaging platforms (Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online) Telephony and unified communications Security solutions including Sophos Anti-Virus and Web filtering (Forcepoint) Backup systems (Arcserve) Databases (SQL) Office 365 and related cloud services Service monitoring tools (PTRG) Support & Troubleshooting Provide advanced third-line support for infrastructure-related issues. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure swift resolution of technical problems. Design and support business-specific technical solutions, ensuring compliance with standards. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Manage relationships and negotiations with vendors and service providers. Liaise with internal stakeholders across the organisation, translating their needs into effective system requirements. Keep stakeholders informed on system performance, project milestones, and strategic initiatives. Continuous Improvement Foster a culture of ongoing service enhancement. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Recommend and implement system upgrades and process improvements. Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Technical Infrastructure Manager or similar role within a large, complex organisation with national coverage. Proven ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and manage diverse infrastructure components is essential. You should possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, security, and cloud services. Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate across departments. Experience supporting and implementing large-scale infrastructure projects. Knowledge of industry compliance standards and best practices.
