Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Pharmacist to join our team to lead the operational management of our pharmacy services. As the Principal Pharmacist, Operations you will be responsible for the operational delivery of the pharmacy service.
Responsibilities
* Review and enhance current pharmacy systems and services.
* Support planning the future of pharmacy services in North West London in collaboration with local partners.
* Support the development of the Pharmacy vision and strategy for the Trust.
* Lead the operational delivery of pharmacy services across all sites.
* Develop pharmacy service in line with the national workforce development plan and the Trust’s needs.
* Manage the pharmacy budget for operational services, including payroll and health roster.
* Ensure adherence to the governance framework by investigating medication‑related incidents and completing all medicines management audits.
* Manage and develop strategic relationships with site executives and the North West London Integrated Care System (ICS).
* Provide effective and efficient pharmacy dispensary and distribution services, including remote dispensary services, to meet the needs of the hospitals.
* Work with the Divisional Finance team to proactively manage the operational budget.
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and appraisal of all pharmacy staff within the department.
* Act as a member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team, promoting the wellbeing and safety of all patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively, and sharing information appropriately.
