Overview
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will be the face of Tesco on the road, delivering to customers’ homes and providing great service with a smile. This role is hands-on, physical, and varied, with support from a team of Managers and colleagues back at base.
Availability and hours
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with opportunities to work a minimum of 12 hours if desired. The availability windows in the week determine contracted hours, with 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We are flexible and welcome applicants whose availability closely matches the advertised times.

* Mon: 18:00–22:00
* Tue: 19:00–23:00
* Wed: 19:00–23:00
* Thu: 09:00–19:00
* Sat: 19:00–23:00
Pay and benefits
Pay starts from £13.35 per hour; increases to £14.56 in stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
* Holiday starting at 20 days plus a personal day, rising to 22 days after 12 months (plus Bank Holidays)

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:
* Keeping the van and trays clean, tidy, and organized
* Leaving the customer’s yard clean and picking up litter as needed
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
* Loading the van, ensuring roadworthiness
* Communicating with customers about substitutions or changes, offering refunds as needed
* Treating products with care and delivering within the customer’s time slot
* Calling the customer before arriving if early
* Calling the store/centre if running 30+ minutes late
Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit
* Warm, welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues
* Ability to respond quickly to changing customer needs
* Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations
* Share ideas with management to improve the store
* Valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
