A London-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage consumer businesses is hiring an Investment Operations Analyst to support the smooth running of its investment and portfolio activities.
The VC Operations Analyst will be the operational backbone of the early‑stage investment team - owning portfolio data, internal reporting, investment process coordination, investor relations coordination and occasionally supporting origination and diligence. This person will work directly with the Investment team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Main responsibilities:
* Manage portfolio company data capture and record keeping
* Maintain internal systems and CRMs to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date deal and portfolio data
* Prepare internal updates to ensure Partner and Advisor alignment on key investment focuses, action items, and deployment updates
* Complete and maintain version‑controlled, compliant documentation for all investment processes and portfolio records
* Create executive level presentations, including bi-annual portfolio reporting and annual investor / fundraising memos
* Occasionally support in key areas of origination and due diligence, including market mapping, advisor discussions, investment note preparation, and more
* Own follow‑ups and other operations processes for weekly pipeline, partner and portfolio meetings
* Application and installation of AI tools that automate those work flows
Experience:
* University graduate, ideally finance or numerical degree would be preferred
* 1 or 2 years work experience
Skills Required:
* Detail Driven
* Highly organised
* Interest and knowledge of AI tools that can help streamline business operations
* Strong communicator
* Ability to interpret basic financial statements and maintain/update basic financial models -
* Proficient / comfortable in excel/google sheets
* Willingness to get involved across various tasks
* Comfortable working in entrepreneurial environments (self‑starter)
* Interest in the consumer sector
