Do you have experience as a Requirements Manager working within the Construction, Rail or Engineering space?
We are working with a business looking to bring in a Standards Requirements Manager, who will ensure compliance with national and international safety and interoperability standards. The key responsibilities for this role include gathering and adapting top-level standards, prescribing corrective actions, and ensuring the principles of ISO 9001 and ISO 55001 are applied and deployed. This is a hybrid working role that will require some office presence.
Job Requirements:
* Compliance and Risk Management: Prescribe corrective actions to establish compliance and reduce risk exposure.
* Standards Integration: Integrate the client’s specificities and seek validation by authorities.
* Decision-Making Support: Provide recommendations based on prescribed standards.
* Technical Authority Structuring: Contribute to the structuring and functioning of the Technical Authority.
* Standards Collection and Adaptation: Collect and adapt standards to the client's operations.
* Gap Analysis: Conduct gap analysis between official standards and the client's systems.
* Coordination: Ensure completeness of French and British requirements.
* Professional Heads Network: Engage with Professional Heads, organise training, and advise on operational decisions.
* Compliance Awareness: Raise awareness of compliance importance and facilitate information exchange.
* Continuous Improvement: Review and amend standards to reflect industry best practices.
* Problem Solving: Establish procedures for analysing standards and address shortcomings through committees.
Qualifications and Experience:
* MSc degree or equivalent in engineering, quality management, or related discipline.
* Experience in technical or regulatory environments, ideally in transport or rail.
* Certification in ISO 9001 and ISO 55001 is highly desirable.
* Proficiency with ISO management systems and international standards.
* Experience leading cross-functional networks in matrix organisations.
* Strong understanding of safety and interoperability requirements.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and make proactive decisions
