We are seeking a creative and dynamic Events Manager to join us on a part-time, term time–only basis, with additional holiday weeks to be agreed at interview. This is a permanent position and will require some evening and weekend work, with an immediate start available.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in planning and delivering a growing range of internal and external events at Dunottar School—many of which take place in our new theatre and Performing Arts Centre.
The school runs a comprehensive series of events throughout the year to support both the academic and pastoral programmes, together with events such as our annual whole school musical and Christmas carol concert. We are increasingly running events for our wider community such as at RunReigate and expanding our Alumni (the Dunottar Society) reunion events schedule, as well as supporting PTA-led activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Co-ordinate and project manage all Dunottar School events to a high standard, including Prize Giving, school productions, the Sports Gala Dinner, parents’ information evenings, alumni reunions, PTA-led activities, and events requiring a Marketing or Admissions presence.
* Design each event to meet its objectives, audience needs and budget, ensuring it reflects and strengthens the school’s brand and strategic positioning.
* Partner with the Admissions team to deliver key recruitment events, including the Year 5 Early Offer pathway, open mornings, assessment days, taster days, transition events and Sixth Form activities.
* Develop clear event plans and timelines, ensuring all stakeholders understand their responsibilities and that events are fully resourced.
* Oversee the school’s participation in relevant community events to enhance local visibility and engagement.
* Conduct comprehensive post-event evaluations, using feedback and data to assess impact, enhance the experience for parents, pupils and visitors, and ensure events support the school’s strategic priorities and growth objectives.
* Work with the Marketing team to ensure event communications and promotional materials are aligned, effective and brand-consistent.
* Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service throughout delivery, proactively resolving challenges as they arise.
