About the Role
This is a national leadership role responsible for driving utilisation, adoption and long-term value of Versius across the UK. The role manages a national team of Clinical Sales Specialists, initially around seven direct reports, with responsibility for growing the team over time and creating a scalable regional structure that supports future expansion and clear career progression opportunities.
The primary focus of the role is to maximise robot utilisation at existing accounts. This includes supporting the clinical sales team to create and execute robust account plans that increase case volumes, expand ap-plications, and drive uptake of new features and upgrades.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the clinical sales team through coaching, mentoring and performance manage-ment, with a strong emphasis on developing future regional leaders from within the team.
* Work closely with the General Manager to align account-based strategy with commercial objectives and runs regular national team meetings alongside the General Manager (GM).
* Oversee utilisation performance across the UK, identifying risks early, and leading recovery plans in underperforming accounts.
* Regular reporting on utilisation and performance is required to the General Manager, Revenue Op-erations, Finance and the Executive Leadership Team.
* Partner closely with Marketing to support campaigns, events and reference site development as well as partnering with the Prof Ed team for clinical education initiatives, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
* We'd expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the UK Commercial remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have/be:
* Proven experience in medical device sales with a track record of sales achievements
* Strong understanding of NHS hospital and theatre environments
* Proven people management experience with ability to motivate nationwide teams
* Commercially minded, structured, and motivated by building teams, developing people and driving measurable clinical and commercial impact.
* Strong project management, prioritisation and organizational skills
* Business acumen with excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Experience in robotic surgery, soft tissue surgical devices, or minimal access surgery (MAS) (desirable)
