Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of this role is to support young people and families who are at risk of family breakdown. You will provide targeted interventions, practical support, and guidance to help young people remain safely at home and prevent them entering care.
Key Details:
* Location: Stockport
* Pay: £14.82 – £16.08 per hour
* Working Hours: Core hours 10:30am–7pm, with flexibility between 8am–10pm, including weekends and potential sleep-in shifts
* Contract: Full-time
* Driving Licence:Full UK driving licence is essential
Day-to-Day Tasks:
* Working closely with Social Workers to deliver tailored support to young people at risk of family breakdown.
* Building positive, trusting and professional relationships to help young people engage.
* Supporting young people facing risks such as exploitation, going missing, being NEET or experiencing challenging behaviour.
* Completing assessments and developing focused support plans.
* Providing practical and emotional support across home, school and community settings.
* Adapting your approach to meet the needs of each young person and their family.
Requirements:
* Experience working with vulnerable young people, especially those with complex or high-risk needs.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence working with multiple agencies.
* Creative, resilient and consistent approach to engagement.
* Experience delivering therapeutic or parenting-focused interventions (desirable).
* Excellent organisation skills and ability to work flexibly.
* Full UK driving licence (mandatory).
