Overview
The role of Home Help is vital in providing compassionate support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. This position involves fostering a safe and nurturing environment for clients, particularly the elderly or those with specific health conditions. Home Help professionals are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for their clients through personalised care and attention.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including, house work,shopping laundry,decluttering.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
* Aid in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs.
* Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
* Support clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management techniques.
* Facilitate transportation for clients, including driving them to appointments or social activities.
* Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transferring between locations.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant healthcare professionals.
Skills
* Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or hospice care is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with senior care protocols and caregiving best practices.
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and their families. English a first preference language due to the eldery hard of hearing.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
* Competence in meal preparation that meets specific dietary requirements.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for facilitating client transportation. This role requires a compassionate individual committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve through dedicated home care support.

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
