Your newpanyOur client is recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home offered. The organisation's offices are based in Glasgow city centre and can be easily accessed by public transport. Your new roleYou will lead a customer-focused payroll and pensions service, ensuringpliance with all legislative requirements and obligations. You will provide strategic leadership and guidance across pay and pensions, embedding robusternance and driving continuous improvement.Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing accurate and timely payroll, pensions, and expense reimbursement processes
2. Ensuringpliance with HMRC and pension agency requirements, including statutory returns
3. Developing and implementing a strategic plan for pay and pensions services
4. Managing overseas payroll processes and year-end activities such as P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements
5. Building team capability through recruitment, coaching, and development
6. Driving process improvements and fostering collaborative relationships across departments
What you'll need to succeedYou will be operating at Payroll Leader level currently and have extensive experience within the field. You will be responsible for 3 direct reports and supported by a wider payroll team and therefore, staff management experience is essential. You will have in-depth knowledge of PAYE, pensions legislation, andpliance requirements and expertise in managingplex payroll operations, including international payrolls and year-end processes.
