We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. As a Tig Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
* Operate welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welding machines, to perform precise welds.
* Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
* Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Perform basic maths calculations to determine material requirements and dimensions.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve processes.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Tig Welder or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, as well as MIG welding.
* Experience working with sheet metal and familiarity with various fabrication processes.
* Ability to effectively use both power tools and hand tools in a workshop setting.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues as they arise.
