Your newpany
Hays Education are currently working with a number of schools in the Burscough and Ormskirk areas to support them with their recruitment of Teaching Assistants. The jobs on offer include full-time and part-time, and we are looking for a mixture of qualified and un-qualified Teaching Assistants to take on these positions. As we have a number of roles on offer, they do cover a range of year groups, so whatever your preference, there is something for you.
These roles are due to start in September and range from year-long contracts to permanent positions.
Your new role
There are a mixture of full and part-time roles on offer, with the part-time roles varying from mornings only to set days. In this job role, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher and supporting the pupils, whether that be on a 1:1 or group basis. You will be required to support with main subjects, including maths and English, as well as reading, writing and phonics, depending on what year group you are placed in. Most roles will also include elements of SEN, so you should be confident in providing support.
The most important responsibility will be to maintain the highest possible standards of safeguarding in order to protect your pupils' well-being and ensure that they have a safe environment to learn and be themselves.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. Experience working with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential, and you will need to be available to start from September.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a highlypetitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will be an integral part of a weing team of TAs. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.
