Days from time to time: Thu 22:00‑07:00, Fri 22:00‑07:00, Sat 22:00‑07:00.
Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. An additional night premium of £2.35 per hour is paid for all hours worked between midnight and 6 am. Other bonuses may apply based on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. You may also choose to work fewer hours, with a minimum of 12 hours.
Responsibilities
- Serve shoppers and provide excellent customer service.
- Support store operations across service, picking and replenishment areas.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively and deliver outstanding service.
- Make customer‑centered decisions and implement store routines to meet customer needs.
- Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor performance, contribute to sales, reduce waste and shrinkage, and drive profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Support centre delivery acceptance when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Over 18 years of age.
- Must be older than the statutory school‑leaver age for your country.
- For shifts before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or roles such as warehouse, beer, wine, spirits, counters, bakery or driving, applicants must be over 18.
- Passion for great customer service and ability to build rapport.
- Ability to act independently, take initiative and make decisions that benefit customers.
- Teamwork, open communication, and a good appearance as a brand ambassador.
