We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our engineering and technical services team, supporting a key client within the UK nuclear sector. This is a pivotal role across multiple UK stations, offering structured mentorship, training, and development opportunities to grow your technical and project delivery expertise.
Hartlepool Power Station has generated over 258 TWh of zero-carbon electricity since 1983—enough to power every home in the Tees Valley for over 200 years, avoiding 90 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications
* Manage technical queries and support contractor selection and contract placement
* Conduct technical reviews of contractor drawings and documentation
* Undertake technical appraisals, feasibility studies, and site surveys
* Prepare Engineering Changes and manage associated documentation
* Develop commissioning documentation and lead test teams where required
* Support Project and Construction Managers to ensure safe, timely, and effective project delivery
About You:
* Strong technical capability and engineering judgement
* Experience in regulated environments; nuclear or power station background advantageous
* Chartered Engineer or HNC (or equivalent)
* SMSTS qualified; project management qualification preferred
* Experienced in CDM-compliant construction or engineering projects
* Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
* Proven ability to work safely in high-hazard environments
