Our client, a highly regarded school in Birmingham, West Midlands, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £105 - £115 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will work closely with the teaching staff to provide personalised support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and assistance to thrive in their learning environment. As a key member of the educational team, you will collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to each student's specific needs. You will be responsible for providing one-on-one support, small group interventions, and classroom assistance to ensure that every student receives the attention and support they require to succeed. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a patient, empathetic, and understanding approach, as well as the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student. Experience working in a similar role or with individuals with special educational needs is highly desirable. Key responsibilities of the Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant include: Working in collaboration with teachers to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons Providing individualised support to students with special educational needs, both academically and emotionally Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes inclusivity and encourages student participation Supporting students with their daily needs, including personal care and mobility assistance, when necessary Participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge To be considered for this rewarding position, you should hold a relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field.
