Funded Learning Claims and Data Team Lead – Permanent, Newcastle, England. Work on a permanent contract.
Role Overview
Lead the financial administration of all funded learning programs. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant invoicing, ILR submissions, and evidence collection.
Scope
* Based at our North Sheilds training centre.
* Work with 3t’s direct funding via DfE/DWP and funding partners such as colleges and combined authorities.
* Collaborate with internal finance and planning teams to ensure accurate claims data.
* Monitor the funded learning team's workflow from administration to invoice generation.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead financial administration processes for funded learning programmes, ensuring invoices, claims, and ILR submissions are accurate, compliant, and timely.
* Collect, validate, and securely store evidence required for funding claims, ensuring compliance with DfE funding rules.
* Ensure ILR data accuracy and timeliness, working with data teams to meet DfE specifications.
* Coordinate and monitor ILR data submission and supporting evidence to external partners, meeting deadlines.
* Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, liaising with funding bodies, audit teams, and internal stakeholders.
* Produce and oversee reports, reconciliations, and performance summaries related to revenue and funding claims.

Essential Criteria
* Experience managing ILR claims data, resolving errors, and challenging inaccurate reports.
* Experience with funded training in apprenticeship or skills bootcamp settings, understanding compliance and evidence requirements.
* Commitment to continuous improvement, staying current with ESFA/DfE, devolved authority, and AEB funding rules and adapting processes accordingly.
Desirable Criteria
* Background in apprenticeships or funded learning quality and compliance.
* Experience working with colleges and the private training sector.
* Experience with Ofsted inspections and provider inspections.

Semi‑flexible working hours with shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm (Monday–Friday) and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.
