Job Summary

in London focuses on strategic communications within the built environment sector. This fixed term position will run for 12-14 months and supports commercial growth through coordinated marketing, PR and brand leadership across multiple channels.

The role oversees digital strategy, project promotion, internal communications and external engagement activities for an established architecture practice. Responsibilities include managing content delivery, supporting bids, coordinating awards submissions and strengthening market positioning across targeted sectors.

The successful candidate will work closely with Directors, external consultants and the wider design team. They will also ensure consistent delivery across social media, website content and project collateral. This opportunity suits an experienced marketing professional with strong architecture knowledge, excellent communication skills and advanced graphic design capability.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Develop annual marketing and communications strategies aligned with wider commercial and sector growth objectives
2. Lead digital marketing, PR and content planning ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels
3. Manage marketing budgets, forecasting activities and reporting processes alongside the Finance Director and leadership team
4. Oversee brand consistency throughout presentations, portfolios, project collateral and internal communications across the practice
5. Coordinate project marketing campaigns and supervise social media content produced by the Marketing Assistant
6. Support Directors with framework submissions, bids, proposals and wider business development documentation requirements
7. Manage relationships with photographers, PR consultants and videography agencies delivering premium branded content
8. Plan strategic internal and external events supporting relationship development with clients, collaborators and professional networks

Skills & Experience Required

9. Previous experience within a senior marketing position across architecture or the wider built environment sector
10. Strong graphic design capabilities with advanced Adobe InDesign and Photoshop knowledge considered essential requirements
11. Excellent communication skills supporting collaboration with Directors, consultants and multidisciplinary architectural teams
12. Experience managing social media platforms, website updates and strategic digital marketing initiatives successfully
13. Strong copywriting ability producing thought leadership content, project descriptions and marketing communications materials
14. Ability to maintain accuracy across multiple deadlines and competing project priorities
15. Knowledge of LinkedIn, Microsoft Office 365, MailChimp and social media scheduling platforms required for success
16. Proactive and organised approach with excellent prioritisation skills, reliability and strong professional integrity demonstrated consistently

Salary & Benefits

17. Salary up to £60,000 depending on previous experience and relevant built environment marketing expertise
18. 14 month fixed term contract supporting strategic communications and brand development initiatives across the practice
