Job Description:
EQUANS is looking for a SHEQ Advisor to join our team in Grimsby on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working 18.75 hours per week. The salary ranges from £16,000 to £18,000, depending on skills and experience, along with a benefits package.
What will you deliver?
* Support in ensuring the contract complies with the EQUANS management systems and company standards, including statutory requirements, providing relevant guidance and advice.
* Support in achieving standardisation across the region.
* Undertake active monitoring and auditing of the company's sites, providing feedback via the reporting system.
* Support the effective closure of corrective actions, incident reports, and site issues.
* Assist in developing risk assessments related to SHEQ.
* Assist with investigating incidents.
* Liaise with enforcing authorities as necessary.
* Respond to advice requests within your expertise, in consultation with the Senior SHEQ Manager.
* Work alongside the contract team as the H&S professional, attending relevant meetings.
* Support SHEQ initiatives and communicate them effectively, e.g., monthly briefing sheets.
* Provide monthly reports, including SHEQ statistics.
* Deliver inductions to new starters.
* Stay updated with new legislation and industry best practices through reading, site visits, and training.

Who are we looking for?
* NEBOSH General Certificate in H&S or equivalent.
* Relevant experience in a SHEQ team.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK SHE legislation and ability to interpret it.
* Good communication, numeracy, and influencing skills.
* Ability to work remotely and develop relationships with operational leadership.
* Flexible, hands-on approach, and evidence of ongoing CPD.
