We are proud to be supporting a progressive and fast growing accountancy group in their search for a Client Manager to join their Fl3xiBooks outsourcing team in Uckfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional with strong bookkeeping and management accounts experience to take ownership of a client facing leadership role within a modern, tech driven outsourcing function. You will play a key part in delivering high quality finance support to a diverse client base while helping to lead and develop a multi location team.
The business is part of a wider UK and Ireland accountancy group, combining the resources and expertise of a large network with the culture and agility of a close knit team. The outsourcing function focuses on long term client relationships, efficient processes and the use of modern cloud based systems to improve financial management for growing businesses.
As Client Manager, you will lead the delivery of bookkeeping and outsourced finance services, manage workflow and quality control, and act as a key point of contact for clients. You will also support team development, oversee system usage and play an active role in improving processes and driving service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong client relationships across a varied portfolio
* Act as key point of contact for bookkeeping and outsourced finance services
* Review bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns and CIS submissions
* Agree client timelines and ensure timely delivery of work
* Oversee VAT compliance, registrations, deregistrations and enquiries
* Lead and support a multi location bookkeeping team
* Manage workflow, deadlines and weekly work planning
* Review timesheets and monitor chargeable and non chargeable activity
* Coach, motivate and develop team members
* Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained
* Use and support cloud accounting systems including Xero, Sage, Dext, QuickBooks and ApprovalMax
* Train and support team members in efficient system use
* Ensure compliance standards are maintained across all work
* Embrace and implement new technology and process improvement
Requirements
* AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience
* Strong experience within an accountancy practice environment
* Solid bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
* Experience reviewing management accounts and client work
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Confident use of cloud accounting systems
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Self motivated and proactive approach
