Brand new opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a large, multi-site firm of Chartered Accountants, at their office based in York.
This firm offers a variety of services to their clients, ensuring they provide a well-rounded approach. From Audit and Accounts through to Corporate Finance, this firm are dedicated to providing excellent service.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and clients to resolve issues, facilitate collaboration and address any issues
* Ensure all Accounts and VAT returns are filed on time
* Achieve reporting deadlines for clients
* Review Accounts & VAT returns
* Answer non-complex VAT queries
* Bookkeeping and accounts preparation as required
* Training junior colleagues in accounts and VAT return preparation
To qualify for this Senior Accountant role, ideally you will meet the following:
* Qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification, such as AAT, ACA, or ACCA.
* Comfortable contacting clients and 3rd parties to ensure efficient workflow.
* Experience in preparation of year end accounts and VAT returns.
* Experience using Xero, Sage, Quickbooks and Freeagent would be advantageous.
