Advert We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 8b Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join us within Walsall CAMHS. We are looking for an ACP registered, qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to deliver psychoanalytic psychotherapy treatment. They will support fellow psychotherapy colleagues within Walsall CAMHS and as required across the Black Country. Working for our organisation CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, specialist nurses, family therapists, play therapist, occupational therapists, social workers and psychiatrists, who are passionate in their aim to work with children, young people and their families in developing creative solutions to improve their mental health difficulties. BCHFT CAMHS currently operates across four geographical areas (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton) with contracts in each area. Each of the teams have a specialist learning disability team, dedicated to children and young people with a moderate to severe learning disability and specialist Children and Young People in Care Teams. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual with a keenness and ability to integrate their current skills and apply them in this context. Important qualities are good communication skills, working co-operatively and thinking creatively. They must have the skills to lead, reflect and manage some complex situations. The salary range quoted is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures where applicable. This is based on the number of years’ working directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will apply, but candidates without prior experience working direct for the NHS would normally be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate the equivalent experience and then be eligible for incremental increases in future years.
