Summary of the role
The Maintenance Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the ongoing functionality and reliability of machinery, equipment, and facilities within the organisation. This position involves conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency. The Maintenance Engineer also collaborates with various departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions. Additionally, this role involves supporting the operation with factory shutdowns and schedules, documenting maintenance activities, and identifying opportunities for process and equipment improvements while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Maintaining factory efficiency and reliability
2. Carry out routine maintenance tasks
3. Reactive maintenance, fault finding and repair. (electrical and mechanical)
4. Problem analysis
5. Continuous improvement initiatives
6. Facility Maintenance
7. Support Contractors
8. Dealing with suppliers and support when required
9. Schedule and organise tasks.
10. Respond to emergency breakdown call outs as required
11. Factory start up
Education and Experience
12. Completed a recognized apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical field
13. Level 3 engineering qualification
14. Multi-skilled Engineer
15. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment
16. Experience of working in a 24 hour manufacturing company
17. ATEX/COMPEX environment knowledge (Desirable)

19. Preferably used an ERP for PR/PO generation
20. Good communication skills both verbal and written
21. Good attention to detail
22. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and motor control circuitry.
