Salary: £49,000 - 66,000 per year Requirements: SQL Server Database Administration and Support experience Proven track record of designing database solutions for mid to enterprise level organizations Experience with full migration lifecycle activities including analysis, design, development, and production implementation Ability to identify and correct performance issues, including reviewing systems and error logs Significant experience in SQL Server environments Familiarity with SQL Server high availability technologies and disaster recovery methods Demonstrable database automation experience in scripting technologies Advantageous knowledge of SQL Server clustering, replication, and log shipping Proficiency in T-SQL, SQL, and SSIS Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS 12c and Oracle RAC Red Hat Linux skills are a plus Strong client-facing communication skills Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work in Northern Ireland only Responsibilities: Develop and support Database Server solutions for major client projects Collaborate with a team of Oracle and SQL Server DBA/Developers Problem-solve complex technical issues and implement solutions Conduct inventory preparation, scoping, and training for migrations Manage full migration lifecycle and support user acceptance testing Identify, recommend, and implement continuous service improvements Communicate effectively with business users regarding technical issues Analyze and correct database performance issues Monitor job performance, storage management, and backups Work flexibly across various client projects and technologies Technologies: Support Linux Oracle SQL SSIS AWS Cloud Embedded OutSystems Snowflake More: At Version 1, weve proudly celebrated 30 years of delivering technology solutions that drive customer success.
