Responsibilities
* Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Projects, Supply Chain and Engineering to resolve issues arising during Design.
* Applying problem‑solving tools and techniques during the design phases from PFMEA to design for manufacture.
* Capturing lessons from build activities and integrating them into strategy to prevent recurrence. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in the Build Strategy team you will join the SSNA programme and collate learning from Dreadnought & Astute when needed. You will liaise and manage relations with a variety of stakeholders and business teams to ensure Manufacturing has a voice within the Design community, enabling the design to be built in the most optimal way. You will play a key part in supporting the delivery of major projects and gain exposure to senior stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements
* Minimum HNC or equivalent experience in a STEM discipline.
* Good understanding of engineering drawings and CAD models.
* Experience using problem‑solving tools like Lean Six Sigma.
Desirable Skills
* Experience engaging with cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve engineering/planning issues.
* Familiarity with SAP/Teamcenter.
* Understanding of submarine build strategy.
