Business Development Manager – Renewables, Plumbing & Heating

Location: Read HQ, Vital Heating Solutions

Full Time | 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Vital Heating Solutions delivers expert design, installation, and management of decentralised energy and multi-utility networks, focusing on low and zero-carbon technologies. We specialise in bespoke commercial heating, industrial plumbing, and mechanical engineering. Our custom business management systems with remote access enable you to monitor, measure, and optimise energy consumption for greater efficiency and sustainability.

Our growing portfolio includes contracts across Commercial, Industrial, Education, Schools, Housing, Local Authority, Farming, and other sectors. From Air Source Heat Pumps to high-efficiency commercial Plant Rooms, we deliver work of the highest standards, specifications, and quality.

Role Overview

As Business Development Manager, you will lead our commercial and domestic growth strategy across plumbing, heating, and renewable energy sectors. You’ll work closely with our internal teams and external partners to unlock new opportunities, drive project delivery, and enhance client satisfaction — while contributing to a greener future.

This role offers variety, autonomy, and progression – perfect for someone with a sharp commercial mindset and a solid technical foundation in heating solutions.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities
* Drive client relationships and manage key accounts
* Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to deliver seamless service
* Ensure all projects meet high standards of safety, quality, and customer care
* Prepare and present detailed technical proposals to clients
* Track and report on pipeline activity through the CRM system
* Support a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications
* Minimum2 years’ experience in Business Development(ideally within renewables/plumbing/heating)
* 5+ years’ experiencein Domestic & Commercial Installations, Gas & Heating/Ventilation systems
* Hands-on experience or working knowledge ofAir Source & Ground Source Heat Pumps
* AFull UK Driving Licence(Essential)
* Strong commercial acumen, confident in presentations and negotiation
* Technical expertise to oversee project quality and timelines
* Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* A collaborative, solutions-first mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-growing team
* Proficiency inMicrosoft Officeand CRM systems
